Flange Jack

The Flange Jack

Flange Jack is designed to assist in the installation and removal of piping flanges in the vertical position, up to 1000 pounds in actual weight. It is not designed or intended for horizontal lifting. Horizontal lifting may weaken the device, and therefore is against the manufacturer's recommendations and will void all warranties.

Advantages of the Flange Jack are:
  • Holds flange level in a two-holed position for ease of installation and removal.
  • May be installed with minimal breakage of flange seal.
  • Has line-up lugs to assist in installation.
  • No tools required for installation or removal.
  • Works on wide variety of flange sizes and types (up to 1000 pounds).
  • Helps to keep workers' hands free of pinch points during installation.

  • DO NOT use the Flange Jack prior to reading and understanding all instructions regarding said Flange Jack.
  • DO NOT place any part of the body: including, but certainly not limited to - fingers, hands, and arms - between any flanges.
  • DO NOT place your hands on any part of the Flange Jack to assist in positioning once the flange has been suspended, especially the tension application handles. Use tag lines instead.
  • DO NOT use the Flange Jack for weights or sizes above the rated capacity (1000 pounds of actual weight).
  • DO NOT lift with the Flange Jack horizontally; the Flange Jack is designed and rated for VERTICAL LIFTING ONLY
  • DO NOT use any cheater bars or leverage extension devices on the Flange Jack. Normal hand pressure is sufficient.
  • DO NOT modify the Flange Jack in any way. Do not drill, weld, or grind into the device.
  • DO inspect the Flange Jack prior to each use.
  • DO always use a tag line when using the Flange Jack; never place your hands on a suspended load.
  • DO always know the weight of the item to be lifted via the Flange Jack (not to exceed 1000 pounds.).
  • DO use gloves and any other appropriate PPE for the task at hand.
  • DO store the Flange Jack in a clean dry area; clean with a warm soapy sponge and dry afterwards.
  • DO use only appropriate shackles, lifting devices, and rigging, following all manufacturer's instructions.
